Avondale Golf Club

The magnificant course at Avondale was crafted in 1926 from heavily timbered slopes, rocky outcrops and dry stony ridges. Its lush greens and couch fairways wind through the native Australian bush, which provides a buffer against the encroachment of the outside world and harbours an abundance of bird life. The privacy and sense of tranquillity engendered by the protection of the surrounding bush makes Avondale unique.

The 18 hole course (Par 71 and 6,059m from the Championship Plates) is rated as a Group 1 course by the NSW Golf Association.

Avondale has recently been certified as an Audubon Society Co-operative Sanctuary (for outstanding environmental management), the first golf Club to be awarded this honour in New South Wales.

The Clubhouse is heritage listed and has recently been restored to its 1920's ambience with extensive renovations. Complimentary car parking, locker rooms and a practice driving range and putting greens complete the facilities for your perfect golf day.

It's hard to believe that the club is located less then 16 kilometres from the C.B.D.!
