![]() Yowani Country Club Yowani is an aboriginal word meaning “northern place” and Yowani Country Club is situated at the northern gateway to Canberra at the junction of the Barton Highway (from Yass and Melbourne) and the Federal Highway (from Goulburn and Sydney). The 6300 metre, par 72 (ACR 73) Yowani Golf Course is regarded as one of Australia’s finest inland courses, reflecting over 50 years of careful development. The highly rated championship course was designed by James Herd Scott in 1954, with several holes redesigned by Cooper Nagle and Associates in 1978. The course is an excellent test for golfers of all abilities on gently undulating, tight, tree-lined fairways with two picturesque lakes. The inward nine is acknowledged as one of the finest back nine holes of any course in Australia. It is no coincidence the course's signature holes are found tucked away in this fine test of golf. It is a golf course that guarantees something special to all players. Phone: (02) 6241 3377 Fax: (02) 6241 8561 Federal Highway DICKSON, ACT 2602 Australia |
