Hahn signs on for Emirates Australian Open
The partnership aims to establish Hahn Premium Light as the beer of golf, with the PGA providing support for the brand across its various communication channels. The affiliation incorporates involvement with two of this summer’s biggest golf tournaments, the Emirates Australian Open and PGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola, as well as with the PGA’s Centenary program that gets underway today. Hahn Premium Light will be recognised as the Official Beer for the abovementioned tournaments and will be served, along with other Hahn brands (Hahn Premium, Hahn Super Dry & Hahn Super Dry 3.5) within corporate hospitality areas. In what is shaping up to be one of the biggest years for Australian golf on record, the quintet are the first marquee players to confirm their places at Australia’s most revered championship which will be played at The Lakes Golf Club in 2011 and 2012 and other names will be released in the near future. The 33 year-old said he was delighted to be able to defend his title during a year in which the spotlight will firmly be on Australian golf. “It’s fantastic to hear that so many of the US and International Team members will be in Sydney before the Presidents Cup,” Ogilvy added. Big hitting American Bubba Watson will play the Australian Open for the first time since 2005. The World Number 11 has been in outstanding form on the PGA Tour this year, winning twice on the PGA Tour and leads the FedEx Cup rankings. “It will be my first trip to Sydney and I’ll certainly be aiming to leave the Harbour City with the Stonehaven Cup.” Fellow American Dustin Johnson will make the Australian Open his first career appearance Down Under. The Australian Open is set to soar to even greater heights with the announcement that Emirates will partner with the championship as the new naming rights sponsor for the next three years in an agreement with event promoters World Sport Group.
